In the near future, Run Stroller Run will release a Stroller Friendly Race Certification that race and/or event directors can verify their race as a stroller-friendly.
A stroller-friendly race is a running race that allows parents to walk, jog or race with a stroller preferably a jog stroller. These races are not specifically races for strollers to race one another or have specific categories for “strollers” – however, some do – like age group categories, but just allow running parents to participate with their child in a stroller. Furthermore, your Stroller Runners will automatically be able to identify that your race allows stroller participants.

As a parent, you go from school pickups to play dates to sports practices at lightning speed. In the non-stop race that is parenting, it’s nice to be rewarded with a finish line. That’s why we started to identify family-friendly races as well to balance sane parenthood with competition.
A kid-friendly race is a race designed specifically for children, from ages 6 mos. old through 12 years old. To include, but not exclusive to, diaper dashes, kids’ dashes, and mile runs. We are seeing more and more races adding kids’ dashes to their race weekends.
